Family Resemblence

Since Rhetters came home, many have commented on how much Preslee looks like him...

I laugh when I hear this, because I think about the phase Preslee went through when we lived in Philadelphia...

She looks like she could be his child,
blessed with the same large Siddoway noggin.

What I wouldn't do for one more hug,
and a quick kiss on those irresistible cheeks.

Some days hurt more than others, and today is one of those days.

Awwww...she is so beautiful & those cheeks are pretty dang irresistible! I have been following your blog for quite some time now. You are actually in my zumba class! I am always tempted to come say hi, but feel awkward...ha! So hopefully one of these days I get up the nerve :) Hope you find some comfort today, while missing your sweet, little girl. Take care!

Ashley you are not alone today!!!
    So sorry hope this helps.
    We Will Never Walk Alone

“Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said, ‘I will not leave you comfortless. [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].’ ”

Sorry for the difficult day, I hope you're able to have a good cry and feel a little better tomorrow. I've decided a good cry is very benifishal at times.

Hard days are... hard. I've been having more of them lately myself.

Maybe you will get a little piece of her back when Rhett marries and has children of his own. Watching the resemblance and spirit in new life can do that.

I really loved the film "Away We Go" which is about a couple traveling the country looking for a home to raise their baby. It's neat, and even though it isn't religious, it gives off this spiritual vibe I find very peaceful. The mom to be's parents passed when she was in college and this is touched on just a little.

In the film a sister says to the expectant mom, "You're bringing a little piece of them back you know." She responds with "I know."

It just means something. I don't know what, but... something.

I hate those days. So sorry.

    Dear Lord:

Please be with Ashley today and fill her heart and mind with all of the sweet memories of Preslee and protect her from all of the hurt and saddness that goes along with it.

    Hugs,
    Trisha

I was just thinking of that today missing my Emma. Its hard to explain to others who have not lost children. It does not matter how many, days, weeks, or months, years, since they have been gone. Some days are just hard and hurt. That cant breathe remembering hurt. Hoping tomorrow is easier, Love, michelle Jensen

I wanted to let you know I think you and your family are amazing. I've followed you since the accident happened. You have faced my greatest fear! You truly help me appreciate my children more (even when some days you really need mommy time outs :) ) Thank you for your strength, and your sweet little princess I know is proud of you and your family! She's beautiful

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
