I can't help but count my blessings today as I read a few blogs. I'm thankful for a healthy child and husband.

Fight 2 the Finish- Ann and her daughter were once strangers and sent sweet Facebook messages right after the accident. Later I learned Ann's son, Tyler, was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer that affects only 1 in 1,000,000 children every year. I've followed their blog for sometime, and he's a fighter, an incredibly strong kid. He keeps teaching me new things through his courage. Ann recently sent me an e-mail telling me they've visited two other cancer patient's homes. She spotted "I Can Do Hard Things" blocks in each house which were put in the bags for the Pay It Forward Project. It made me cry, as she explained how these families have also taken on this motto. I love hearing how little Preslee has influenced others.

I definitely know how hard it is to watch someone in your family fight for their life. Keep these families in your prayers.

This mother of three was pregnant with her fourth when her husband passed away. They could use some help right now too. It took them nearly 10 years to have children and she is on her own now. ReplyDeleteYou are Amazing! You are taking something that was extremely hard (& still is hard every day) & reaching out to others. I cried when I read that the blocks that were in the bags that said "I can do hard things" were in these people's homes...Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI blogged something similar to this about a month ago, except I shared your blog site with my followers in hopes for more prayers for you and your husband as you welcomed your new baby boy, and struggled with the birth of a new child while still grieving the loss of one. Always praying for you.

You are so amazing and as I am reading your blog tonight, I am crying because you are such an inspiration to so many people!! You have been through so much and still continue to help others through their hard times. Keep up the good work, you are an amazing person and I am sure Preslee is so proud of you!! ReplyDeleteHow amazing! What a blessing to actually hear the stories of how your simple phrase "I can do hard things" is blessing peoples lives. Bittersweet in a way, I guess. I also know someone who could use a shout-out. My lifelong friend has a cousin who, after nine days of having her 3rd child, found out that her four year old had cancer. Her and her daughter have spent the last six months at the hospital. She rarely sees her new baby, older and husmband. Little Faye is such sweet girl with a darling personality. Her fight isn't over. After reading this post, I have decided to. Just like I have never met you, I do not know this family either, but both your families have been in my thoughts and prayers. They recently lost their little girl and I guess I thought that like these other blogs you follow, your experience and testimony may be of comfort to this family as well. i love reading your blog. It's funny what a small little world we live in. I went to High School with Tosha the mother of Taleah all of these blogs were hard for me to read. I'm so glad that through blogs we can know of and try to help and pray for other families in need. Your little guy is so dang cute! Hope you guys are doing well!
