Home Cannon Cruiz Ledger Toddler twins A Miracle…

A Miracle…

It’s hard to believe that after we experienced many Sundays like {this}, a miracle occurred a few days ago. For the past year and half, Sunday has been the dreaded day of the week in our home, the stress sets in Saturday night and ends when the boys are officially put down for their naps.

But, it being the first Sunday that Cannon and Cruiz could officially attend nursery by themselves, along with Ledger’s first week in Primary as a sunbeam, (We’re a few weeks behind, we’ve all been sick) I not only attended all of my meetings, but the nursery leader only grabbed Pat once to ask which boy was which :) Haha name tags were needed.

Toddlers on sunday

When I picked up Ledger, (I’ve been extremely nervous about how he will handle Primary) they exclaimed he was great, and he sang a solo of “I Love to See the Temple.” When I asked him about it, he exclaimed, “Yeah, they only let me sing it two times, not three…”

I never thought I’d live to see the day.

With a two hour break, Sundays might just become my favorite day of the week :)

As a councilor in Primary...we love children like Ledger! Glad you are able to finally relax and enjoy Relief Society and Sunday School with out little ones.

It really is magical to be able to take the little children to Primary and/or nursery and have some time to really study and learn about our Savior. I think as parents (and grandparents like me) we wonder if those days where we will have some time to really feel the spirit will ever come on Sunday. But those days eventually and then let me tell you....those days and years spin by so very very fast. I'm happy for you that you have your boys at this stage but it is always a little bittersweet to think how "BIG" they are getting. Your children are all so very precious, so adorable, and you have a darling family.

I know exactly what you mean. My youngest two girls are 16 months apart, so I loved Sundays when they were with other children for 2 1/2 hours, so that my husband and I could attend Sunday School and worship service. Our church insisted that since we had children in the nursery and preschool departments, that we had to serve a Sunday each quarter. I hated that, because that meant I had to be with my two and lots of other children for that 2 1/2 hour Sunday. I would have much rather stayed home than to do that. My girls are 23, 18 and almost 17 now. Only 2 live at home now and they both graduate in May. Life is definitely changing around here and will be for the next few years. Enjoy your time with the boys, because it goes so, so fast.

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
