Home grief share the love Walking on Jupiter

Walking on Jupiter

I came across this post on Facebook and wanted to share it with other grieving parents. I love that it’s written from the dad’s point of view, which is really quite rare. He explains losing a child perfectly.

    Hi Ashley,
I was the one that emailed you about "The Piano", and I just scrolled through the last few weeks on your blog and saw that you found it! I just wanted to tell you how appreciative I am. Thank you so much. I love your blog and love checking in with your darling family. Can't wait to see those 2 new bundles :)

The post the father wrote is so poignant and touching. I can't comprehend the loss of a child but I know that God does and He will always be there for us and in the big scheme of things, things will work out just as they are meant. I long for simpler times when there were no worries and no heartache but that time will come again on that most perfect day we have been promised. Until then, we live our lives the best we know how and find joy in small and simple things. For you and your family, those small and simple (not sure it will be all that "simple" LOL) things will come soon in the way of two little babies. Take care of them and yourself!!!

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
