Thank you for this. Amazing message! Our dear Prophet is one amazing man. Your Preslee will continue to be a grand missionary, even in the minds and hearts of those you have not met yet. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for posting this, Ashley. I love President Monson, and I loved hearing him share the beautiful truth that when spirits pass from this life, they're taken home to the god who created them. That knowledge is comforting to me, as I'm sure it is to you.

    Thanks again for sharing this.

I appreciate and am thankful knowing that Preslee is in heaven with God the Father. I do believe that babies/young children who have not had the opportunity to express their faith in Jesus are taken to be with our Lord when they die.
I am not Mormon, I am an Evangelical Christian. I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this question or not. But the man who spoke said that when we die we are taken to be with God our creator. Do Mormons not believe in trusting Jesus in order to go to Heaven?
I'm sorry if this is inappropriate....just an honest question.

Thank you for posting this video from conference. I believe every word the prophet said in his story. My sister died when I was very young, and I know she, as well as Preslee, live with Jesus. Thank you for sharing your story.

My dad died a few years ago in a tragic manner and this quote from Orson F. Whitney has helped me through..."No pain that we suffer...is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of...patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer..,especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our charactes, purifies our hearts, expands our soulds, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God...and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we came here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in Heaven." with love from one young Mom to another :)

What a blessing it is, to have a prophet of God bear testimony that after we die,we will live again. What a beautiful reunion that day will be for you and your sweet baby! Thank you for posting this :)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! As I have sat here in my own grief and pain remembering my only 2 brothers the past few days. My older brother Shawn whose birthday was Saturday the 2nd, left this earth 3 years ago this month and my little brother Todd, just a little over a year later. I needed to hear this. The way both of my brothers left was not an accident but a choice. I know our situations are nothing the same but I'm so grateful for you and your strong testimony that helps me so much. I loved this talk the very first time I heard it and knew it was just for me;)I need to remember to take the time to listen to the words of our prophet more often, they bring so much peace and comfort to me. Thank you for that reminder and the reminder that we will both be reunited with our loved ones again someday! You two with your sweet little Daughter and me and my family with both of my Brothers! Until that day, we have to stay strong and of good courage. Thank you again for touching my heart on a difficult day.

"As a grief-stricken mother" Ash I know that you and Pat will see Preslee again. As you two feel her doing her work in heaven you will feel "that God our Father is mindful of you"

If it's o.k. I'd like to answer the question that the Cummings Family posted.

Mormons believe that children don't reach the age of accountability until 8, when they are baptized. We believe that if a child dies at a young age, they are not held back from the presence of their Heavenly Father.

Yes, we believe and trust in Jesus Christ and are grateful for His Atonement. But we also believe that little children who have not had this opportunity will have an opportunity on the other side of the veil.

    I hope this helps! :)

Hey Ashley...glad to hear the video brought you some happiness. Preslee is such a beautiful little girl and how neat to always remember her at such an innocent, wonderful age. I've enjoyed reading your experience and your outlook from it all. Thanks for your strength!

    Dear Ashley,
Like many others I know we have never met but your story has touched me in ways that you can not imagine. I got married just 5 months ago and have been in an abusive situation ever since. Many times I knelt on my knees and prayed fervently to know the answer. I got the answer to go on my blog and one of the blogs I read connected me to yours. I may not have lost my beautiful daughter but I am so strengthened by your strength and testimony. You are amazing and you will be blessed by Heavenly Father for your amazing strength and courage. Thank you again for your love and tenderness in turning to the lord in times of your struggle.

    Sincerely,
    Merrawyn

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
