Girls Camp

Many of you are asking how my week at Girls Camp went! Ha it was quite the experience. I can now say I can cook pretty much anything in Dutch oven and can clean and season it as well! I have become a master at fire building and putting an end to girls drama! When a Priesthood leader teaches the girls about evil spirits, possessed bodies, and that big foot is alive and living in the Untied States at the bottom of catholic church and could perhaps even be on his way.... at 12 A.M. (I guess that is why you send them to bed when they tell you to) I learned how to say a prayer, tell the Priesthood leader it was time for him to go to bed, and deal with 9 terrified and crying girls. Let's just say I can pretty much survive in the wilderness! ha

It was a fun week! There's nothing better than leaving the shack and the million phone calls behind! My little brother who stocks the shack was gone at a football camp as well. Patrick learned everything there is to run a little sno cone shack, and let me tell ya, he doesn't give me crap anymore after his struggles! haha My main worry was about setting up camp, but thankfully everything worked out and there was someone there to drive the trailor up and two men to help, well set up the entire camp for us! The first two days was a blast! Don't worry, when the main camp director arrived on wed she asked how certification was coming along... haha I had totally forgotten about that part of camp! We were too busy playing games. And besides, I'm not the person you want to be teaching these girls about what to do if a tornado comes while camping. Or even to start a fire without matches! (But don't worry I learned!) All in all, it was a good experience, we had some good girls, so that always help!

A few of the girls
The freakin rad slide! This is what we did instead of certification!

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
