Cherry Chocolate Bars

sullengers.com
Let’s talk about these babies. I’m not a huge cherry fan, but I had a hard time not lickin’ the pan clean after I made these cherry chocolate bars. I’ll be making these again for Valentine’s Day, (Pat just requested them for the Superbowl as well). If you’re looking for an incredibly easy treat to whip up, these are it!
Cherry Chocolate Bars
Ingredients
12    ounce bag of chocolate chips
3/4   cup peanuts ( crushed )
3/4   cup peanut butter
25    marshmallows ( large )
1      tub (8 oz) cherry frosting

Directions
1. Melt together a bag of chocolate chips, crushed peanuts, and peanut butter.
2. Spread half of chocolate mixture in 9x13 pan.
3. Melt marshmallows in a large bowl, once melted, add cherry frosting. Mix well.
4. Spread cherry mixture over chocolate in pan, then spread the remaining half of chocolate on top.

5.Refrigerate to set up.
And then try not to eat the entire pan.
Enjoy!

Do you chill the layers inbetween adding them?

I didn't, it got a little soft, but chilled at the end to help set up.

Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I made it for Valentine's Day and it was delicious! I love Big Cherry candy and this tastes so much better! I used honey roasted peanuts because it was what I had so I'm going to have to make it again trying roasted peanuts. These bars are addicting!

I have a question about the cherry frosting. I looked at the store today, but I didn't see any cherry frosting at all and everything they did have for frosting was 18 oz (not 8). Can you tell me where you got yours from? I really want to try these! : )

So I think I bought it at Walmart?? Can't remember for sure, but they had a 16 oz. tub, so I halved it. Hope this helps.

Thanks...it does help to know that it's in a bigger can. : ) I'll just keep checking back. Or maybe I'll try a different flavor if I don't ever see the cherry, but the cherry sounds really good. Thanks for getting back to me! : )

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
