Celebrating Easter

This year Easter was pretty low key at our house.

Easter 1

Our Easter celebration began the night before at my parent’s house dying Easter eggs. Ledger got in on the action, and loved coloring on the eggs. We cooked up some steaks and potatoes, watched a little March Madness and got out of my little brother’s way before he brought a date home :)

Sunday we don’t have church till 1 PM, the worst time if you ask me, but we made the best of it! Our morning was low key, and Ledger was thrilled to see eggs and a big present waiting for him. I didn’t bother with many treats, Ledger still isn’t too fond of them, instead, we invested in a toddler basketball hoop which I’m sure will be used with two more boys joining our family.

After church we ate quite the meal! It was the first holiday we cooked for ourselves. Pat took on the ham, and it did not disappoint!

Later that evening we visited Dorsie and Terry for a couple of hours. It was fun to see all of Pat’s step siblings who were visiting for the weekend.

I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!

What a great idea having eggs leading to Ledgers basket. I might have to implement this next year for Jacob. Looks like an awesome Easter!

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
