On the other hand, our little family is recovering from the flu. Ledger picked it up first, and within 24 hours we were all sick. It was horrible. But Ledger is back to his normal crazy self as I type this. Thank goodness. We're hoping this is the last of recoveries we have to experience for a long time.

And...for the first time ever, I'm considering attempting Black Friday shopping. Good idea? Bad idea? Any hints or tricks?I'd love to hear all about it :)

My mom and I do Black Friday every year! Keep is to plan ahead, look over sale ads early and check opening times! Last year they even had store maps as to where they all items were going to be located!

My husband is a serious Black Friday shopper, and yet hates shopping any other time of year! We just moved to Boston from UT and he is still going to brave the craziness here is MA. He enjoys it and gets most of our shopping done. The best part is they post their adds on the hot items for sale but they have a million other things for sale in the store so we always have luck getting all the little gifts as well. Best advice is to make a game plan. And back up plans if one store takes longer then another. Expect long lines and to not get every big item you want. Make sure to go where the hottest items are first or you wont get them, or you will wait too long for them and miss out on other store sales. if your like my husband you will be up all night so pack snacks haha! Sounds so worldly but it really has benefitted us when we are tight on money! Best of luck!

I never thought I'd be a Black Friday shopper, but I went for the first time a few years ago, and I'm hooked! Some deals just can't be beat. Check out this website, https://blackfriday.com/ and look at the ads early. Then you can figure out what you want and a sort of "game plan" of when to go to each store. It's nuts out there, but it's actually a lot of fun. Good luck!

It's so fun! Walmart does price match. You just need to take the ads with you and show them at the register!

We love black friday shopping! since lines are long at every store, we hurry and go {try} to get the big things we wanted and then one will wait in line while the other goes to look around and then we switch. last year at kohls we were in line for an hour and a half!

My Mom and I look forward to Black Friday every year! It's just a fun girl day (night) for us!! Make sure you are checking out the ad's now and creating your plan (http://blackfriday.com/). Don't take the baby! Wear warm clothes, but layers you can easily remove! Have fun!

Have a game plan! From my experience Kohls is always the longest wait to check out...so if you have other places to go and don't really have anything pressing to get super early and great at Kohls I would hold off on it until later in the morning/afternoon. I personally like bfads.net to show me all the ads. Have fun!

We just got over the dang flu too. Black friday shopping. Dont do it! Its horrible. There was one year i went by myself at like 9 o clock. Nobody was there and I still got everything I wanted! And i was rested and energized. The lines and crowds and rude people are not worth going in my opinion at the second they let you in.

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
