Home share the love Telaai Milene Wiberg

Telaai Milene Wiberg

I couldn't help but share this little girl's story.
Once again, it hits too close to home.

Telaai was born last Thursday 8/2/12.  After being placed on her mom's chest she turned blue and could not breathe and was transferred to another hospital to undergo testing. Shortly thereafter, they found that she could neither breathe on her own or move her arms and legs. She was then life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital.

Here is of the updates

"Last night Telaai was transferred to Primary Children's hospital where she underwent test by a Genetic Neurologist to see why she wasn't moving. We talked and got an answer with a doctor who is a specialist in the disease SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy and she said our baby is in stage 0 which is the worst stage you could have. She hasn't seen something like this in over 14 years. Telaai's muscles are
so weak already and will get progressively worse that she'll never get off a ventilator or feeding tube. The quality of her little life just won't be there as within a very short period of time she will lose all functions of any muscles in her body. We don't get her long, taking a day at a time. Right now she see's us, hears us, knows we are there. Telaai came to this earth to save and teach a lot of people and she has done that ten fold in the days she has been here. She is so brave and so strong and so incredible beautiful. I will get to run and jump and hug her in the millennium but for now, she did what she came here to do. Receive a beautiful body, look at her mommy and daddy and sisters. Thank you for your prayers. We have been asking for a miracle and we got it, her name is Telaai Milene Wiberg.
"

This upcoming Sunday, Telaai will be taken off life support.
My heart breaks for this family.
Sending many prayers their way.

Here is Telaai's Facebook page.
Here is the blog.

My sister has lost two sweet boys to SMA. I've been tested as a carrier because it's more common than you'd think! Praying for their family.

Oh my....what an amazing perspective for her heartbroken parents. She is a sweet beautiful baby girl. The way she is gazing at her parents brings tears to my eyes. I thought of my nieces and nephew's sweet Makenzie....also gone too soon from SMA-RD. I pray that disease is curable someday.

I will certainly hold Telaai and her family in my prayers. What a beautiful baby girl. I, too, had never heard of SMA or SMA-RD until I came across Kendra and Ryan Webster's site for their baby girl Makenzie. My heart just breaks.

Thank you for sharing this. I hope that the Wiberg family feels God's love for them and especially for their baby Telaai. Being a mother of an SMA child I will be praying that they have the strength that they are going to need.

Thank you for commenting on my blog. The awareness needs to be spread and you are helping to do that.

I just read that their sweet angel Telaai returned home to heaven yesterday. I am so sad to hear of all of these moms losing their sweet babies but I know that they will get to be with them again and pray for their comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing your story and countless others.

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
