Lagoon

For our Anniversary I packed Pat's bag, made all the arrangements, and early Friday morning we were on our way to UT, just the two of us. I didn't tell him where we were going, and when we pulled in to Lagoon, he started laughing. He doesn't love rides, and gets sick easily, so we haven't been to any kind of amusement park together. But he was excited and a good sport and rode everything once.
(except the Samarai)

It was a full day of laughing as I watched him turn into his father, as he would get super nervous before each ride took off, and then laugh his head off as soon as it started. We spent a big chunk of the day at Lagoon-A-Beach.

Saturday I took Pat to see Batman, hit up a couple of stores, mainly to find Ledger some shoes, grabbed lunch and decided we wanted to go home to this little guy.

(We take the Olympics seriously in our house)

It was fun being able to surprise Pat for once, and left both of us excited for Ledger to grow up, so I will have a riding buddy for all the big rides and Pat can watch from the ground.

You don't know me, but Cache Walker is my brother-in-law, so when Presley had her accident my sister knew about it and told me. I've been following your blog ever since.

Anywhoo, I wanted to share a blog post with you about another mom in a similar situation to yours. Three months ago a girl I knew from High School parents died in a head on collision. Her parents had 2 of their grand children in the car as well. One survived, one didn't.

She wrote this hear-breaking post about her feelings 3 months after the fact.

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
