Over the Hill

Last Friday, we celebrated my mom's 50th Birthday with a family BBQ.
And once again, Candee didn't disappoint. The cake tasted as great as it looked!

Poor Kyla broke her leg a month ago, she's a trooper!

We surprised Mom with an ipad!

This great guy paid for pedicures earlier that day :)
He also made ribs and cole slaw. Rhett took care of the Brazilian rice and beans.
(I loved the beans!)

This is my dad's latest project. Isn't it massive? It turned out bigger than he expected, but we love it! Too bad it wasn't there while we were growing up!

Happy Birthday Mom! We love you and feel so blessed to have you in our lives!

Happy Birthday to your mom! She makes 50 look beautiful!

Whenever you post pictures of your dad, it takes me way back to the days when he helped coach our basketball teams in Jr. High. I seem to remember he worked a lot with the "bigs" and he was always so patient with my total awkward-ness and lack of aggression. Your parents are awesome!

Aw happy birthday to Yodi! The swing is AWESOME, I wish I had one of those! So you should get "the recipe" from Rhett on how to make the rice and beans, I want to surprise Dave with them but I can't find a real authentic recipe but I'm sure he's got the right one!

How did your dad get those massive poles in the ground? I've got to know because we are going to build one just like it. Please email me at sled4fun2@hotmail.com if you have the time. Thanks.

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
