July

Patrick
Golfing in local tournaments and played in Anaconda Montana.
Called as 2nd counselor in Elder's Quorum on Sunday.
Ashley
Still training for the Rexburg Rush triathlon.
Heading to Girls camp this week, a little anxious to leave Ledger.
Working on projects here and there.

(Water isn't that deep, please no comments about life jackets)

Preslee
We learned of a family who was sealed in the SLC temple after reading her story on the blog.

(Taken at the cemetery)

Ledger
 Climbing onto everything,
Made it through all 3 hours of church without throwing a tantrum yesterday
(only 5 more months until nursery!)
Asking us to read to him every chance he gets.

Pog
Went on a walk for the first time in ages,
and after two blocks she barely made it home.

Love that you asked for no comments on life jackets. :) It never crossed my mind until you said something. You don't have to publish this comment on the blog, just wanted you to know it made me laugh.

The ordinances of the gospel bring so much more joy than I think any of us realize, until life throws a curveball and perspective changes. Beautiful that Preslee's story could inspire a family to make those covenants. Your family story has certainly helped my be "in the moment" more with my own kids, and all the more grateful for my own covenants. Thanks for sharing so much with all of us :)

Thanks for the up dates you all look happy. Your little ledger is so fun to see and how happy he is and its good to see that he brings some joy to you and your hubbys life. Thats awesome about the sealing of another family ' it just shows that one little girl can change a whole familys life and keep us remebering that familys are forever and thats his plan for all of us. Thanks again for letting us be apart of your world and letting us here of all the joys that have come into your lifes!!!!!

I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration your story has been to me and my family. Preslee has blessed me to be a better Mother to my sweet babies, and a wife to my husband. I know that inspiration was instrumental in us preparing and going to the Bountiful temple in June to be sealed as an eternal family. I know we dont know each other, but I love you as a sister in Zion :) On a side note, I was looking for a photographer to be at the temple with us and came across Alisha while googleing for a photog in Bountiful. It was not until after I contacted her that I made the connection. Small world! Just know that a family in Viginia prays for your family often

How fun! (except being called into Elders' Quorum :) Ledger is such a happy, smiley boy! Can't wait to see him and Roxie interact in a few weeks now that they can run around together!

I have a little boy about the same age as Ledger and he makes some of the craziest faces too! I love how little boys have such a zest for life. He seems to be such a happy and energetic little boy. When you said in a letter to him that it must be hard being raised by greiving parents, the first thing I thought was how lucky he actually was. You have the ability to see things much differently than many of us because of the heartache and trials you've been through. Thank you for your posts. I am grateful that I am a better mom because of you.

ashley - i don't have an amazing story to tell, but instead just a simple "thank you". I stumbled upon your blog exactly two years ago. I was pregnant with my first child (now a very active little girl) and I was so moved by your experience. It made me realize - it's not always going to be roses, having this baby is putting me at risk for the most unimaginable pain. But your eternal perspective was always the underlying message - getting to experience the love was always worth the pain (at least that's what I got out of your words). So thank you for making me a better mother before my daughter even came into this world. now, i hug her tighter, i don't delete any pictures (even the "bad" ones), and I laugh a little quicker (even when there's something in the toilet that should definitely not be there).

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
