Hi all, I just talked to Ashley. I had a friend come to my house yesterday and the word she used to describe Ashley was angelic. That is a perfect description of both Pat and Ashley. Many of you have talked about angels camped around Preslee's bedside, her parents are included in their camp. You can all see the strength that these two have. They are completely amazed at the scope of people this little girl is effecting. They have heard of prayers from all around the world and miracles that are happening in other peoples life because of sweet Preslee's spirit. Thank you for your comments and prayers. Please keep a prayer in your heart and on your lips for the miracle this sweet little miracle baby needs.
Preslee is still holding on. Baby steps, baby steps. They are still messing around with her blood pressure medication. She is on such a little dose that they keep trying to take her off, but Pres still needs it so they put her back on. They did take the catheter off today which means that her bladder is working. Her little body is doing so good, we just need to give her brain time to heal. One big thing the doctors are looking for is a gag reflex. Preslee hasn't had one so far, until this morning. It was little tiny, but it was more than they have seen her respond to that test. This is a good sign. We wish she would just gag at the doctors, but we will take what little her body has to give. Fight baby girl, heal and fight. We love you.
Love, Aunt Nic

ReplyDeleteMuch love coming your way!!!! Hang in there mom and dad!!
I am praying for your little princess every day and every moment I have. I looked at your blog a couple of days ago but after a few minutes I had to close it because my heart aches for your family and I just couldn't bring myself to finish reading your painful story. It is obvious you are strong parents with an enormous amount of faith, courage and love for your little angel. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you are all going through. I too have a boy around Preslee's age and there is nothing stronger than the love a parent has for their child. The Lord is with you and he knows what you are going through. Stay strong and we will keep the prayers coming.
ReplyDeleteAshley and Pat,
ReplyDeleteI got a phone call from someone yesterday that I did not know. She had heard about your sweet baby from someone from church. I talked about you in my Marriage and Family Class. They are praying for you. I gave her your blog to able to keep up on the updates. We have you covered here in the Navuoo Temple. Baby Steps all the way...... Keep fighting Preslee, Love the Swimming Grandma
That's great news! The fact that her organs are starting to function on their own, especially ones requiring the use of muscles, is big step in the healing process.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure any day now she'll be speaking out - and oh what beautiful words they'll be.
Still praying.
You guys are such an inspiration!!! I dont know if I could do what you guys are going!! Preslee is such a lucky girl to have such great parents!!! The post patrick posted made me cry. ReplyDeleteI can't stop thinking of that Sunday a few weeks ago when you (Pat) were in the hallway with Preslee during Sacrament Meeting and she was acting like a little "monkey" and we were all kind of laughing at her tease you. And you said that every time the dress goes on, she turns into a little stinker because she knows you're about to go to church. Look at her now, she's not giving up, she has it in her, she's so strong! Our whole hearts are with your family!

ReplyDeleteI have been following this blog since a friend on facebook posted about it. I don't know what it is about your sweet little Preslee, or your family, but I am in awe. My relationship with the Lord has been hit and miss throughout my life, but something changed when I read your story. I have prayed everyday, multiple times a day for your Preslee and you. I have never felt so strong about our Lord and the miracles he can work. I have faith that Preslee will be healed. This has changed my life forever, and I don't even know you, but I thank you for having the strength, and the utter faith that all will be well. You have helped make me a believer!

Our little family has prayed for you every night, and I continually pray for you throughout the day. I know Heavenly Father and the Savior are right there for you. I hope you can feel them so near. Many many prayers from North Carolina. Your story is on a website called "disboards". It is a forum for all things Disney. Right now there are "dissers" from all over the world praying for your daughter. Keep on believing, God loves you, and so do we.
ReplyDeletePreslee and the whole family are all in our prayers. My 4 y/o said two long sweet prayers for her right now and said she loved her and wants to play with her. :) ((hugs)) to you all!
ReplyDeleteHang in there little girl. You can do this!
ReplyDeletePrayers for all being said.
Love,
A stranger
I too am a "stranger" who stumbled upon your story. As a mother myself, my heart is breaking for you and your family. I will be praying for you and your sweet girl
ReplyDeleteYou don't know me, but a friend of mine sent me your blog address and I wanted to add my prayers to the many people praying for your sweet baby girl. My three month old son was recently released after spending a month in the PICU. I have been in your shoes, not so long ago. At one point, my son too was on a ventilator, comatose, and somewhere between this world and the next. We weren't sure if he was going to live, but we put all of our faith and trust in the Lord. I know that the Lord hears and answers our prayers. He does not leave us comfortless. I read your posts, and I am brought back to that same place with my own son. While my son has many challenges left to face, he is living proof that miracles happen. Miracles Happen! If you haven't read it already, I found great comfort in the April conference talk by Elder Oaks called "Healing the Sick." From one mother to another, my heart goes out to you. I will keep praying for Preslee and I know that the Lord's will will be done.

Jen
You go girl! Preslee you are doing so great! We will keep you and your family in our prayers. Keep fighting.
ReplyDeleteEver since we heard about little Preslee's accident our hearts have ached for each of you. Only a few years ago our daughter of 14 was also in a tragic accident. I bear witness that there really are ministering angels that carry out the work of our Father - in Heaven. I have witnessed His miracle in my daughters life. I pray that you too may find solace in the testimony that God lives and is aware of Preslee's needs. It is easy to forget that she was His daughter before she was yours. She does not walk alone. He is there to guide her steps along the path He has chosen. May you find comfort in knowing He is in control of her every step. We pray for his comforting spirit to attend your sweet family.
ReplyDeleteI have never met you guys or even seen you guys. I saw your blog and am so touched. I can not imagine the stress and emotion you guys are going through. You are all in my prayers and I know lil preslee is a true fighter, thank heavens! Take care! God IS with you.
