January 5th

Today was my first doctor's appointment! I was pretty excited about it! Everything went well other than Pat and I both have come down with the flu. Thankfully nobody threw up while we were there! But anyways, we had our first ultrasound. I'd post it, but I'm sure you've all seen a million that look exactly the same. Anyways after measuring the little baby, (which was smaller than an inch and Pat was in awe) the doctor moved back the due date. So instead of Dec. 26th we're now looking at January 5th. So the good news is I probably won't be having a baby on Christmas. That makes me very happy for the child. Instead maybe we'll get a New Year's baby. The first thing the doc said when he changed the date was, "I'm sorry about your taxes." "Maybe it will be a good thing to induce you on the 31st or even the 30th."

I had to go to class right after, and when I got home Pat was pretty excited about the whole thing and was looking through all the books the doc gave us! he informed me of all the new things he had learned. He also told me that he knew it was a boy today just by watching the heart beat!

How exciting - first appointment! I'm glad everything went well. It's crazy that it is so small. We went over last night to see our friends little newborn and she was so tiny and cute. I love babies!!! I'm glad you are both excited about it - that definitely means you are ready to be parents!

Hey I know Kyle looks just like his dad. We were in Idaho this last weekend and his Grandparents were showing us some pictures of sterling when he was younger and seriously if you didn't know you would think that it was Kyle. Kinda crazy! how is everything going?

Hi, we're the Sullengers! Life turned upside down for us in 2010 when we lost our daughter in an accidental drowning. Since then, we've documented our highs (life with all five of our kids) and our lows (struggles with grief) but amongst everthing we've experienced, we know as long as we hold on to one another we can get through anything that comes our way.
